Structural Limitations

The Differential Pressure ($\Delta P$) is the difference between cabin pressure and outside air pressure. Aircraft structures are fatigued by cycles of pressurization. The system tries to maximize passenger comfort (lowest cabin altitude) while respecting the Max $\Delta P$ limit.
